2. Outstanding Professors and Researchers Class (EB-1B)
This category is tailored for recognized professors and researchers with strong academic track records. Applicants must possess a minimum of three years’ experience in teaching or research and an offer of permanent employment. Eligible applicants need to meet at least two of the following six criteria:
- Receipt of significant honors or awards.
- Membership in exclusive professional associations.
- Published materials about their achievements in respected journals.
- Participation as a peer reviewer in their field.
- Original contributions to science, literature, or the arts.
- Authorship of influential publications in their area of expertise.
EB-1B petitions must be filed by a U.S. employer.
3. Multinational Manager or Executive Class (EB-1C)
The EB-1C classification facilitates the relocation of senior executives and managers of multinational companies to the U.S. To qualify, applicants must be employed by the same company or its affiliate outside the U.S. for at least one of the past three years in a managerial capacity. This category does not require labor certification but does require a valid employment offer from a U.S. affiliate, subsidiary, or parent company.
